Founded in 1976, Kara is a non-profit, largely
volunteer organization which provides peer counseling
and various other emotional support services Programs
include individual counseling for adults and group
support for individuals of all ages who are grieving
a loss or facing a life-threatening illness. Organizational
also provides grief crisis intervention to corporations
and schools in cases of death or terminal illness,
